DOWNEY, CA – Carrie Uva, a lifelong Downey resident and prominent community leader, has officially announced her candidacy for the Downey City Council, representing District 4 (Northeast Downey). With over 60 years of deep roots in Downey and a strong list of endorsements from current and former respected local leaders, Carrie is running on a platform of public safety, experience, stability, and a "resident-first" approach to local government.

She will continue to prioritize Police and Fire as essential services while diligently monitoring for transparency and accountability across all city departments.
