LISSETTE RIVERA is NOT fit for public office
On September 17, 2025, at a Special Council Meeting, Lissette Rivera was removed from the chambers by Downey Police due to disorderly conduct.
If elected, will she be triggered like this every time a public speaker says something she finds uneasy? Is this someone who would rightfully represent the character of our community? Is this someone who should oversee our $335 million annual budget? The answer is clearly NO!!
An elected public servant is held to a higher standard because we expect much more of them. We expect them to remain calm and make the right decision even when everything around us seems to fall apart. Lissette Rivera has demostrated more than once she is not capable to doing that.
...AND AGAIN on another occasion on October 26, 2021, Lissette Rivera caused a scene at another council meeting. Please play the audio above and listen for yourself.
